Currently seeking applicants for a full-time position in the Supervisor of Assessments office.
This office collects and updates records of real property to facilitate the tax cycle. We administer exemptions, monitor changes in the tax code and assist the public in their understanding of property tax assessments. It is expected that staff will respond to questions and information requests from the public when they walk into the office, but also through telephone, email, and off premises events. All of our interaction with the public is expected to be courteous and in the spirit of exemplary public service.
Our records are kept in several software platforms that you would be expected to learn.
Requirements:
- Good communication skills
- Customer service skills including discretion, patience and professionalism
- Able to pursue and maintain CIAO designation
The staff member will be required to travel to attend job-related conferences, training, and work with other departments. The staff member must be able to work well, perform, and complete duties under stress, deadlines, and while attending to multiple duties at once. The staff member must follow all county and department policies, goals, and objectives.
Anticipated starting pay is $18.00 to $21.00 hourly. This is an entry level position.
